i'm so OBSESSED with gift wrapping & packaging at the moment. i've been thinking heaps about Christmas gift ideas & even more so about how to wrap them. i take a bit of pride in my wrapping each year, & its generally got a theme or is matchy matchy...i've got so many ideas!

Today's crushes are all handmade in Melbourne.

I've already got a a kikki k journal which I love....but this is SOOO much more. It even goes up to 5 years old!!

i haven't done much sewing of late, but with a cute pin cushion like this - i'm sure i'd fine plenty to sew!

i have a little collection of these up-cycled cutlery stakes already but need to grab a few more for my herbs, such a cute & affordable gift idea!

Nursery Inspiration 2

 Since the day I found out I was pregnant I've been planning Nugget's nursery. We are almost finished, just need to make his mobile, quilt & change mat covers, and hang his name on the wall. And with just over a week left I don't think it will all be finished when he arrives. But he'll be slumbering with his ma & pa for the first months anyway, so it can wait for now.

So for the last 9 and a bit months I've been collecting my inspiration.

Baby wants it

I've always been a HUGE fan of anything lemon....you can even find me drinking the juice straight. I got given this enormous bag of lemons so what better to make than Lemon Butter!!

And I'm blaming this on Nugget....he wanted cupcakes.

Mama's been busy.

Long time between posts, I know. I fell off the crafty wagon. But I have been busy baking my baby.

We are under 2 weeks out from meeting our little Nugget & are so very excited! 

I have been busy in the last few weeks with the usually baby prep & nesting, but also looking for stockists that would be interested in frankie gusti. goodies!! I really do want to keep the crafty goodness alive & kicking but its a bit more realistic for someone else to sell it for me. 

I've been creating these delicious 'Organic soy vintage teacup candle candles'

My house smells like a florists & bakery all at once!

We would love it if you help spread the word or could even suggest some Melbourne based handmade shops for me to have a look at.

the rooster climbs on the chickens back- Op Shop Finds

my sister & i quickly popped down to her local op shops last week & I struck gold.....pure teacup gold!!!

just a sample but i came home with 21 sets...ah-mazing! i have been struggling to find teacups that are cute & affordable- can usually find plenty but would have to sell an ovary on the black market to make it mine. these will be filled with smelly goodness & available for sale via facebook in the next fortnight

i found a cute 'debbie bliss' knitting guide which i will be palming off to my Granma & her trusty knitting needles.

i grabbed a stack of vintage kiddies books

but the highlight of my outing was this book in particular....

forget the birds & the bee's- this is all about the chickens & the dogs

not only are the illustration HILARIOUS but the descriptions are quite informative too.

one mans trash another mans....amusement.
