the rooster climbs on the chickens back- Op Shop Finds

my sister & i quickly popped down to her local op shops last week & I struck gold.....pure teacup gold!!!

just a sample but i came home with 21 sets...ah-mazing! i have been struggling to find teacups that are cute & affordable- can usually find plenty but would have to sell an ovary on the black market to make it mine. these will be filled with smelly goodness & available for sale via facebook in the next fortnight

i found a cute 'debbie bliss' knitting guide which i will be palming off to my Granma & her trusty knitting needles.

i grabbed a stack of vintage kiddies books

but the highlight of my outing was this book in particular....

forget the birds & the bee's- this is all about the chickens & the dogs

not only are the illustration HILARIOUS but the descriptions are quite informative too.

one mans trash another mans....amusement.

Nursery Inspiration #1

we are about to begin the transformation from spare/junk room into nursery & i have been scouring the web for inspiration. if you haven't visited apartment therapy or ohdeedoh for a bit of makeover & design magic....you are missing out! 

i've seen this nursery quite a few times & cant stop loving the heck out of it.

this is frances may's nursery & she is one lucky lass.

i love the simplicity of the cot (we have also purchased this), the wall colour & the flooring.

the neutral colours with muted pastel highlights is perfect for either sex, although the detail of this decor is obviously a little more suited for a babette.

i have collected some vintage furniture & pieces so far & hope it all comes together as looovely as this.

Who the eff is Alice?

 So just taking a trip down (short) memory lane- February actually.

I went on my first 'road trip' with two of my besties to Alice Springs & beyond.

3 girls, 1 wicked van & 10 days.

we conquered natural disasters

we tamed wild animals

we ate exotic foods

we learnt manual

we took advantage of the self timer

we learnt the basics in mechanics

 there were road toll victims

& near misses

paid tribute to great Aussie hero's

we out smarted a tiger airlines

fun times were had & i'm glad i shared with these babes
